The Voice 2024 coaches hit back at fans who criticised the show's new line-up

Two of the new coaches have shared hilarious responses to trolls on social media.

The Voice Australia 2024 coaches Kate Miller-Heidke and LeAnn Rimes have clapped back at social media users who have questioned the new line-up of superstars sitting in the big red chairs.

It was announced on Wednesday that the Australian singer-songwriter and US hitmaker would be joining GRAMMY-nominated artist and actor Adam Lambert and returning coach Guy Sebastian on this year’s season of the singing competition.

“I don’t know half these people,” one person wrote, to which Kate sarcastically replied, “Me either!”.

“Who are the 2 blondes?” someone else asked, with Kate responding, “The Veronicas”.

LeAnn Rimes also clapped back at critics who asked who she was and simply wrote: “Google 😂”

To another fan who said “Those who can’t do, coach”, LeAnn replied: “And those who HAVE DONE… share”.

“KATE! I’m so proud. Obviously a big change for her and her brand, but Kate IS Australian music. She IS The Voice. And people don’t know the bucket load of personality they’re about to get,” one person shared.

“That is a cracking line-up of diverse singers!” another added, while a different user said, “Loving this line-up! All four are amazing and talented artists”.

Classically trained singer and Australia’s 2019 Eurovision representative Kate Miller-Heidke also shared that she's excited to sit on the panel “alongside these incredible singers”.

“The art and craft of singing has been at the centre of my life and I feel like I have learned some things that might be of help to young or inexperienced performers,” she said. “I’ll be looking for people with the soul of an artist; people with something to say; who make you lean in and want to know more about them. And I’m really looking forward to getting to know the other coaches. Bring it on!”
