The touching detail on Meghan Markle's eternity ring

Meghan Markle stepped out last month sporting a new pave engagement ring band alongside a glistening eternity ring, packed full of stunning diamonds.

The eternity ring was gifted to the Duchess of Sussex from her husband, Prince Harry, after the 37-year-old Duchess gave birth to the couple’s first child, Archie Mountbatten Windsor, in May.

And now it’s been confirmed that Hollywood jeweller, Lorraine Schwartz, created the design for the duchess - with a touching hidden detail on it.

According to Harper’s Bazaar, the underside of the ring is adorned with Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and baby Archie’s birthstones.

That includes a green emerald for Archie, a blue sapphire for Harry and an ‘olive green peridot stone’ for Meghan.

A source said ‘a lot of thought went into it’ and ‘Meghan was touched’ by the personal details on the band.

Prince Harry designed Meghan’s engagement ring himself, with the help of jewellers Cleave and Company.

It features an impressive centre stone from Botswana – a place that holds special meaning for the couple after they camped there together early in their relationship.

“The ring is - is obviously yellow gold because that's her favourite - and the main stone itself I sourced from Botswana,” Harry said in his first interview with Meghan to the BBC.

sHarry also made sure to include a tribute to his mum in Meghan’s ring.

“The little diamonds either side are from my mother's jewellery collection to make sure that she's with us on this - on this crazy journey together,” he said.

Meghan’s engagement ring from her ex-husband

It’s not the first dazzling engagement ring Meghan has sported, as her ex-husband, Trevor Engelson, popped the question with a stunning princess cut diamond ring.

The beautiful diamond was set on a band of glittering jewels, which were further enhanced by her wedding ring, which was also a band of diamonds.

Meghan and Trevor tied the knot in a romantic ceremony at the Jamaica Inn in Ocho Rios, Jamaica in 2011. They split in 2013.
