The real story behind Network Ten's juggle of hosts: 'That shuffle happened'
Reports claim Network Ten has been scrambling to keep their pool of hosts happy.
It’s one of the most coveted jobs in the Australian TV industry and according to a source, Network 10 is scrambling to keep their pool of presenters happy after Robert Irwin was given the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! hosting gig.
"There were quite a few roles going at Network Ten last year and one job in particular was more sought after than any other job in the country, that being I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!,” our source claims.
It’s believed Tristan McManus, Colin Fassnidge and Beau Ryan were all in the running to replace Dr Chris Brown, with Beau coming out on top.
The network screen tested all four men with the show's co-host Julia Morris, however, when Robert agreed to the test he ‘simply knocked his audition out of the park’.
It’s believed Beau Ryan was a surefire bet to take on the role if Robert turned down the offer, while Brendan Fevola was pencilled in to co-host 10’s The Gladiators alongside Liz Ellis.
It comes after Liz Ellis revealed on KIIS FM's Will & Woody show yesterday that Brendan Fevola was originally slated to co-host the reboot of The Gladiators alongside her but was switched with Beau Ryan at the last minute.
"They did a chemistry test with myself and Brendan Fevola. He did not get the job," she said.

When it came time to shoot the show Beau was there and Liz was none the wiser about what happened to Fev.
“I turned up at the photo shoot and it wasn't Fev, it was Beau. So it was not an exhaustive process, but Beau and I got along really well, so it was great,” she said.

A source at Network Ten played down the juggle of hosts, with a source claiming: "That shuffle happened and the network is confident everyone is in the right job with the door still open for Fevola if something else comes up.”
