The Project host's cheeky dig at Carrie Bickmore's tattoo

The Project’s Carrie Bickmore found herself at the centre of attention on Monday night's show after Waleed Aly made a cheeky dig about her tattoos.

The panel were discussing a segment on couples getting matching tattoos. According to tattoo artists, getting your partner’s name tattooed on yourself is a "kiss of death" and it means your relationship is "doomed".

Pete Davidson famously gets tattoos for all his girlfriends, and added Kim Kardashian’s children's names onto his body during their nine-month relationship.

Now, the celebrity couple have allegedly split, and Carrie called the star "insane" for getting tattooed so quickly.

However, the TV host actually has a matching tattoo with her partner Chris Walker.

After the segment played, Waleed turned straight to Carrie and said: “You’re the first person I thought of.”

“Because Chris and I have matching tats? Good,” she laughed.

“Well, if you want to show commitment, that’s how you commit,” Waleed quipped.

“And then you un-commit, cross them all out,” Carrie shot back.

The star got inked in November 2020, choosing a sentimental and dainty design – the letters ‘a’, ‘e’, ‘o’, and ‘u’ with a music note in place of the fifth vowel.

The tattoo is a sweet nod to her kids Ollie, Evie, Adelaide, with the ‘u’ referring to Chris. Her partner has the same ink, but with a cricket bat in place of the music note, as a nod to his late brother.

“So when you were getting your tats, did you think about this? Did you get a code in order to make sure it would survive the end of the relationship?” Waleed teased Carrie, making the panel burst out into laughter.

This comes after Carrie horrified fans with her 'scary' new eyebrows with a new snap on Instagram.

The star donned a white Kianna dress with one shoulder, with wavy hair drawing attention to her heavy eye makeup and thick eyebrows.

It didn’t take long for people to compare her eyebrows to "caterpillars", with many begging Carrie to change her makeup artist.

“You are the best-dressed person on TV Carrie. I don’t mean to be rude, but your eyebrows are awful…sorry,” one fan wrote.

“Have you changed makeup artists? Change back. It’s too harsh,” another chimed in.

“Omg the lovely girl at my local post office has scary eyebrows too. What’s with caterpillar eyebrows?” added a third.

Other fans also pointed out that the reflection of Carrie’s ring light made her eyes look terrifying.

“Absolutely loved your dress tonight but wow, the ring looks scary!” a fan noted.

“LOL! Can see the ego in your eyes!” wrote a second.

“You are beautiful…eyes a little drag queen though lol,” another joked.
