The Project Carrie and Rachel's awkward chat about women's 'bits'
Carrie Bickmore and Rachel Corbett were left awkwardly laughing at The Project desk after a conversation about women’s genitalia.
The whole chat started after the panel, which also includes Waleed Aly and Peter Helliar, were discussing Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher’s claims that they only wash their private parts with soap every day.
“Isn’t that the opposite of everything we've ever been told as a lady Carrie?” Rachel Corbett asked on The Project.
Carrie looked confused, with Rachel continuing: “About your bits. That’s the one thing that you’re not supposed to use soap on. That’s what everybody tells us.”

Carrie Bickmore could barely talk as she laughed, saying: “Sorry, did you say we’re not meant to use soap?”
“Yes, you’re not supposed to use soap on your bits. You can use soap everywhere else,” Rachel said.
Waleed Aly then decided to interject as it was clear things were getting slightly awkward between the pair.
“Can we ditch the next three interviews and just figure this out?” he said.
Rachel ended the conversation saying: “It is apparently self-cleaning,”
According to Healthline, May Clinic doesn’t recommend women use soap on their genitalia.
“If you want to use soap, choose a soap that’s unscented, mild, and colorless. Fragranced soap can irritate the sensitive skin in and around the vulva,” the website reads.
However, people on Twitter debated the topic, with one person writing: “Ummm @RachelCorbett I think you may have misunderstood the bits that are self cleaning. It’s the inside bits. Not the outer. USE soap!!!”
Another person wrote: “According to what I've read, using soap is a personal choice, you just need to make sure it's thoroughly washed away and dried so it doesn't get inside.”
Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher's showering habits
It comes after Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher opened up on Dax Shepard and Monica Padman's podcast, Armchair Expert, with Dax saying: "You should not be getting rid of all the natural oil on your skin with a bar of soap every day," he said. "It's insane."
Mila Kunis shared her showering habits, saying: "I don't wash my body with soap every day. But I wash pits and tits and holes and soles."
Meanwhile Ashton said: "I wash my armpits and my crotch daily, and nothing else ever. I got a bar of Lever 2000 that just delivers every time. Nothing else."
Mila said she didn't have hot water as a child so she "didn't shower very much anyway".
The couple said they bring the same ethos into how they bring up their own children, with Ashton saying: "Here's the thing—if you can see the dirt on 'em, clean 'em. Otherwise, there's no point."
