The Block's Tom and Sarah-Jane share 'amazing' transformation

The Block stars Tom and Sarah-Jane have given fans an intimate look into their caravan abode. The pair walked away from this year’s season with a measly $20,000 profit, and hope to further ‘spruce up’ their modest dwelling when they have some more ‘spare cash’.

The reality TV stars have decorated the interior with Kmart items, and Sarah-Jane shared some before and after snaps of their renovation work.

Sarah-Jane took followers on a tour around the caravan, saying that the pair ‘love it’, and have managed to make some budget-friendly replacements.

“Some simple and cheap changes made quite the difference from carpet squares Tom laid to Lino timber look flooring…he also laid. Curtains I made somewhat effectively, and a new tap to subway tiles in the kitchen and fake marble Lino bench tops,” she wrote in the caption.

The star added that the pair had paid just $12,000 for the ‘old van’, deciding to forgo a trip to Europe to spend time fixing it up instead. Tom has been busy working on their project, building a roof, deck and adding a bathroom at Sarah-Jane's request.

After a fan asked where the ‘piece of paradise’ was located, Sarah-Jane replied saying that it’s located two hours from where they currently live. “We love our home away from home,” the star gushed on Instagram.

Fellow contestants Dylan and Jenny, who are the only couple who haven’t sold their Block house, praised Tom and Sarah-Jane’s efforts. “Looks so good! Love the fireplace,” they commented.

Fans also flooded the stars’ Instagram post with comments about how much they loved the transformation.

“Vans are the best, have mates with one at Eppalock but it’s more like a small house. So cool what you can do with the space,” one person wrote.

“Looks absolutely amazing! You’ve done a great job adding your own touch. We had one too! I love caravan life! Near the beach,” a second commented.

“Beautiful space! Doesn’t have to be fancy, just relaxing and comfortable!” another chimed in.

The Block stars caught up in GoFundMe scam

This comes after the couple were caught up in a GoFundMe scam after a supposed fan set up a page to support the pair after their dismal $20,000 profit from the show.

Despite being tipped to win, the couple placed third in the show's finale when their property sold for $4,100,000.99. They revealed on Monday that they now plan on selling the $80,000 Ford Ranger they won on the show last month to try and earn extra money.

The GoFundMe page, which has since been deleted, reportedly hoped to earn the couple $1,586,670, according to So Dramatic!. Before the page was taken down, four donations had been given to a total of $425, Daily Mail reports.

"Tom and SJ deserve a lot more for the efforts they put into building their house on The Block," the page read. "Their positive attitude and willingness to call it as it was made them an instant show favourite. Let’s show them what the Aussie spirit can do and help raise funds to make a difference, set their family up and make the 12 weeks worthwhile."

While the organiser was listed as SJ and Tom, according to So Dramatic!, Sarah-Jane revealed on her personal Instagram account that they didn't start the fundraiser, with the reality star telling her followers, "Hey guys… We just found out that someone has set up a GoFundMe page for us."

"That is not Tom and I. It’s a scam, Channel Nine are trying to work on getting it taken down. It is definitely not us, do not be sucked in."

She continued, saying that they're "grateful for what [they] have", and that the GoFundMe page isn't for them, "It’s to help people that are in really sh**ty situations and that’s just not Tom and I. We're in a good situation. So, not us. Spread the word!"
