The Block 2024 winners revealed after nail-biting auctions
Season 20 came to a dramatic end on Sunday night.
The winners of The Block 2024 have been revealed after several nail-biting auctions. This year's season of the reality show brought endless drama, but it was ultimately a happy ending as everyone managed to sell their home.
In the last few years, the first house to go to auction is the one that wins the most money, with Steph and Gian winning a record-breaking $1.75m last year by going first. Omar and Oz also did very well in 2022 by going first, winning $1,686,666.66.
Who won The Block 2024?
In a break from recent tradition, the last house to be auctioned made the most money!
House 1's Maddy and Charlotte's lives were changed after making a huge $1,550,00 profit from their house, as well as the $100,000 prize money.
Coming in second were Courtney and Grant with $1,300,050 profit, followed by Kristian and Mimi in third place with $1,030,000.
Fourth were Haydn and Ricky who made $750,000 and coming in last, but still smiling, were Kylie and Brad who made $650,000. Kylie said the whole experience had been worth it in the end and she was very grateful.

"It was worth it," she said. "Unfortunately. Because I was a different person here. But… we made it. We're very grateful."
What were The Block reserve prices?
All of the houses, bar Mimi and Kristian's, had a reserve of $1.95 million. Meanwhile, House 5 had a reserve of $1.9 million, including the $50k off their reserve thanks to their earlier Domain challenge win.
Let's take a look at where each team and house landed after the auctions.
House 1: Maddy and Charlotte (formerly Jesse and Paige) - WINNERS
Sold for: $3,500,000
Profit: $1,550,000
The last house to go under the hammer was House 1 - built by Maddy and Charlotte after Jesse and Paige left the show after 5 weeks.
The sisters ended up winning the competition within the first few seconds of the auction as Adrian Portelli bid $3,500,000, making the girls a profit of $1,550, 000 and seeing them crowned the winners of The Block 2024.
House 2: Courtney and Grant
Sold for: $3.3 million
Profit: $1,300,050
Courtney and Grant were the first up at auction, with their property attracting Danny Wallis, Adrian Portelli and Jacob Najjar from Acai brand Thirsty Monkey, who flew in on his private jet.
With Tom Panos as their auctioneer, it was an intense few minutes before Jacob shocked everyone by bidding three million dollars, only to be countered by Adrian with $3.1 and then $3.3 million, outbidding himself.
Adrian was the highest bidder, meaning that Courtney and Grant are now $1,300,050 richer.
House 3: Ricky and Haydn
Sold for: $2.7 million
Profit: $750,000
The boys were fourth in line, saying they hoped to win enough money to set Haydn's little family up for life.
The house was about to sell for $2,675,000 when Adrian swooped in and offered 2.7 million, winning the property for himself. This gave the boys a tidy profit of $750,000.
House 4: Kylie and Brad
Sold for: $2.6 million
Profit: $650,000
Despite being the most divisive house on The Block, Kylie and Brad's predominantly black creation registered 13 bidders.
"For any year, any house, any suburb, we haven't seen 13 registered bidders on any house… ever," said a surprised Shelley Craft, with Scott Cam adding that they were "flabbergasted."
The home was second up in the auction lineup, with Scott Kennedy Green as the auctioneer.
Their gothic-inspired home ended up selling for $2.6 million to Adrian Portelli, who came in at the last minute to snap the property up.
House 5: Kristian and Mimi
Sold for: $2,930,000
Profit: $1,030,000
Kristian and Mimi were the third team to have their house auctioned and it didn't take long for Mimi to burst into happy tears as the bidders battled to purchase the two-story property.
The residence sold for $2,930,000, making Kristian and Mimi $1,000,030.
How many houses did Adrian Portelli buy?
"Lambo guy" Adrian, who spent a whopping $12 million on three of the properties in 2023, ended up buying all of the houses on The Block, having used a buyer's agent to purchase Kristian and Mimi's property.
The dad of one said it would be his last year on The Block so he wanted to go out with a bang. He ended up spending $15,030,000 in one day and breaking a Block record by purchasing every single house.
Did Danny Wallis buy any houses on The Block 2024?
After walking away empty-handed on auction day 2023, Danny Wallis did the same in 2024, having not bought any of the houses.
Did Kylie and Brad attend The Block auction?
After Kylie and Brad promised that they wouldn't return for the auction after their shock departure following the 'flirting scandal' between Brad and Mimi, the pair surprised everyone by showing up after all.
"Are you guys still together?" a producer asked them.
"Depends on how Auction turns out," Kylie jokingly replied with Brad adding, "We'll see how much of it becomes my fault."
ICYMI: Kylie found out Brad had been flirting with Mimi late one night after they'd finished work for the day, then a week later, the married couple allegedly left for good, with Kylie saying they wouldn't return for the auction.

"I don't want to come back for auction, I don't want to come back and have to deal with it. I don't. I literally don't," she angrily told Brad.
Earlier this week Scott Cam told Fitzy and Wippa that he wasn't sure if the couple would show up or not.
"We can't confirm anything with those guys, because they're not in communicado, so we're not sure, to be honest, we're not sure how it's going to play out," he said.
