The Bachelor's Locky Gilbert and Irena Srbinovska get married: 'Surprise!'

The Bachelor’s Locky Gilbert and Irena Srbinovska have tied the knot in a surprise ceremony. The pair, who met on the eighth season of the reality TV show in 2020, shared a joint Instagram post announcing their big news.

In the snap, Locky, 32, is seen dipping Irena down low as they share a passionate kiss. “The happiest day of our lives #mr&mrsgilbert #irenaslockyinlove,” the caption read.

The bride stunned in an elegant off-the-shoulder white gown with a dramatic train. She chose to have her hair pulled back in a bun and wore a long veil draping past her waist.

Irena, 32, finished her look off with delicate jewellery and a bouquet of beautiful white flowers. Her husband opted for a suave black tuxedo and paired it with matching black dress shoes.

The Melbourne ceremony was a complete shock for their loved ones, as their guests believed they were just attending the pair's engagement party.

When the wedding guests arrived for the party, they were greeted with a sign that read: “Surprise! Welcome to the wedding of Locklan & Irena 10.03.23”.

After sharing their wedding snap, the reality stars soon found themselves bombarded with congratulations from their celebrity pals.

“Congrats you two,” former Bachelor star Laura Byrne wrote.

“Spectacular! Huge congratulations guys,” added cricketer Cam Merchant.

“HUGE CONGRATS GUYS,” MAFS star Al Perkins commented.

Some fans shared their shock over the “secret” wedding, with one labelling the pair “sneaky”.

“WHAT!?!...I thought it was your engagement?? Congratulations, so happy for you!” another exclaimed.

“Wondered why you guys said engagement when you had family travelling [from] so far [away]. Congratulations,” a third remarked.

“Ahh, you kept it a secret, well done! Congratulations!!” another wrote.

Locky and Irena’s big purchase

This comes after Locky and Irena announced they had purchased their first home together.

The pair shared a snap outside their new home, writing, "We bought a house!! Let the celebrations sorry renovations begin."

They continued, "It’s taken us a while to find our perfect (renovators dream) home in our favourite location but we got there and we are so excited to make this our home.

"We are super eager to see what the future has in store for us and it’s good to finally set some roots after all our travels.

"Now let the renovations begin but first a quick celebratory drink or two."
