The Bachelor’s Tara Pavlovic is married! The 30-year-old said ‘I do’ to her boyfriend, Nick Shepherdson, on Friday but waited until the following day to share the happy news on her Instagram Stories.
“I finally got to marry my best friend yesterday, I love you Nick,” Tara captioned a snap of the newlyweds’ hands which showed off their new wedding rings.
Nick wore a plain silver band while Tara appears to have added a ring set with a half-circle of diamonds nestled neatly around her pear-shaped engagement ring.
Also seen in the snap was a cookie with the words ‘Mr and Mrs Shep’ and the date ‘25.09.20’ written in the icing, along with a fancy wedding menu featuring ‘feasting platter’ of confit crispy duck, sliced beef and steamed greens.
The bride and groom kept the food at their ceremony far more low-key, opting to serve guests cheeseburgers and nuggets from fast-food giant McDonalds.
“The food at the ceremony was beyond delicious. Such beautiful flavours,” Bachelor In Paradise alum Tara quipped in her caption for a pic of a long grazing table loaded with goodies from Maccas.
We’ve yet to catch a glimpse of Tara’s bridal gown or any other snaps from the couple’s special day for that matter but it’s still early days.
Tara, who rose to fame on Matty J’s season of The Bachelor, got together with Nick in late 2018 after their decade-long friendship blossomed into something more.
Shortly before the pair went public with their love, Tara reportedly called time on her engagement to fellow Bachie star Sam Cochrane who she met on Bachelor In Paradise earlier that same year.
Sam popped the question to Tara in the season finale but their rocky relationship didn’t end up lasting.
When her new beau Nick got down on one knee in September last year, Tara couldn’t contain her excitement.
“YESSS!!!! Yes yes yes yes Yes!!! Yes to a lifetime of love, laughs and happiness with you @shepaa. I love you SO bloody much. I can’t wait to marry you,” she gushed on Instagram.
The couple was initially set to tie the knot in April but their plans were scuppered by COVID-19 travel restrictions. Just last month, Tara told The Wedding Digest by WedBooker podcast that she was worried they’d have to push the date back a second time as she couldn’t bear to walk down the aisle without her family and friends.
