While she and husband Zach Davis are working on growing their family, Floyd is also minding the health of her oldest, daughter Ryder, 7. She opens up about the latest updates in the most recent episode of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter.
Shortly after birth, Ryder was diagnosed with very long chain acyl-CoA dehydrogenase deficiency (VLCAD). Now that she's getting older, Floyd reveals she's "been complaining about her chest."
"She does routine EKGs and heart echos. With VLCAD, it can trigger other things so we do do these routine checkups to make sure her heart isn't enlarged, it's not going too fast, it's not going too slow."
On a FaceTime call with ex Cory Wharton, Floyd explains some of Ryder's recent EKGs have shown irregular activity. They were recommended to a cardiologist for follow-up testing.
"I've been down that road with Maya, with open heart surgery before. It's never fun. It's scary, you know?" Wharton says.

Cheyenne and Ryder FaceTime with CoryRyder comes in and joins them on the call, where she tells her dad, "I came in because my heart was going fast."
Later, Floyd discusses the current trials in her life with her parents, who each drop by to check on her.
"Until I get an answer as to what's going on with Ryder's heart situation, I think I'm just going to be in a funk," she says.
Floyd's mom and dad each offer their support, through helping out and through prayer. They each hug the mom of two, who is quietly in tears throughout the conversation.
In a confessional, Floyd explains, "With Ryder having VLCAD, it's not anything we can cure. It's basically off of her genetics. Now I think we're at this point where she's getting taller, she's doing more sports, she's more active."
"Her body is starting to hurt more," she continues. "She's starting to complain more about her joints being sore. Now with her complaining about her chest and her heart, we've never had to deal with this before."
Later in the episode, they head to the appointment, and then call Wharton to share what happened. The heart echo came back well, with Floyd explaining, "The structure of her heart is great. Now we have to rule out that there's no cardiac problems, so she has to wear the heart monitor for two weeks. If it's cardiac problems, then when she does high energy things, her heart will react to it versus anxiety."
Ryder tells her dad the testing was, "Scary, but not too scary." Then she tells her mom, "My heart burned for like one second."
In another confessional, Floyd says, "How do I explain to my child that we're trying to make sure that your heart is okay when I'm trying to convince myself that her heart is okay? It's nerve-racking and it has my anxiety through the roof."
The mom is focused on the fact that "I don't want to scare her, even though I'm scared."
