All About Alec and Hilaria Baldwin's 8 Kids

Hailey Baldwin Bieber might be the most famous of the Baldwin clan, but that doesn't mean the rest of the family are avoiding the spotlight altogether. On the contrary, and as evidenced by the new showThe Baldwins, there is plenty going on when it comes to this very famous (and very large) family.

The Baldwins follows Alec and Hilaria Baldwin, who share seven children, as they navigate life in the aftermath of the Rust shooting that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins in 2021. More broadly, TLC says the reality show will reveal “the challenges and humor that come while raising a large family in the public eye.”

“A son lost his mom in the most unthinkable tragedy,” Hilaria says of the Rust incident in the trailer for The Baldwins. “This is never something to forget, and we’re trying to parent through it.” Alec Baldwin then tells his wife, “I don’t know where I’d be if I didn’t have you.”

Ahead, here's everything you should know about Alec and Hilaria's seven kids, Alec's eighth child from his first marriage, and how they're all related to Justin and Hailey Bieber.

Ireland

Before Alec tied the knot with Hilaria in 2012, he was married to Oscar-winning actress Kim Basinger. The pair share one daughter together named Ireland, who was born in 1995. Ireland has since welcomed her own daughter, Holland, making her the first in the Baldwin clan to make Alec a grandfather.

"We're naming her Holland. I'm Ireland, so another country name because we wanted to keep that consistent," she said during an interview on the Girlboss Radio podcast. "And then I love the actress Holland Taylor," she added. "I've always loved that name since I was young, I just thought that was such a classy, beautiful name, so we're going with Holland."

Carmen Gabriela

Carmen arrived in 2013, just one year after Alec and Hilaria walked down the aisle. Eleven years later, she joined forces with her mom to create a cookbook titled Glowing Up: Recipes to Rock Your Natural Beauty.

"I loved creating this book with Carmen," Hilaria told People. "One of my goals as a mother is to really foster my children's creativity and individuality and see where their passions and skills collide," she said. "She has made her own skincare products from our kitchen for years, learning what ingredients are beneficial, measuring, experimenting...creating."

Rafael Thomas

Alec and Hilaria's first son was born on June 17, 2015. The news came after the couple revealed that Carmen had been "begging" for a little sister.

"It was amazing," Alec said at the time, calling his wife a "hero." "Someone else is doing all the hard work, and you're there for them … You sit there and go, 'I would do anything to make this easier for you."

Leonardo Ángel Charles

A little over a year later, the couple welcomed their second son, Leonardo. "It was such a special day bringing him into this world," Hilaria wrote on Instagram.

Romeo Alejandro David

In 2018, the couple welcomed another son: Romeo. "He didn't have a name for two days," Hilaria told People at the time. "His name that we were pretty set on the entire time was Diego, which I still really love. I told my kids, 'Diego is gonna come,' and they were all waiting for him."

But, she explained, "I don't know why I just started getting this sense really close to when I was gonna give birth that that was not his name."

Eduardo Pao Lucas

The couple welcomed their fifth child in September 2020 and immediately nicknamed "Edu." Hilaria christened him her "miracle baby" after suffering two miscarriages in 2019.

María Lucía Victoria

María arrived via surrogate in early 2021. "We are so in love with our daughter, Lucia," Hilaria wrote on Instagram. "Just like your brothers and sisters, you are a dream come true."

The mother of six also took a moment to acknowledge the pain of her miscarriage, writing, "There is not a day that goes by where I do not miss their older sister, who we lost at 16 weeks. There is also not a day that goes by where I don't thank my lucky stars that I have Eduardo Pau and Maria Lucia. The fact that both of those feelings can exist inside of me, simultaneously and so intensely in their polarity, blows my mind."

Ilaria Catalina Irena

On September 22, 2022, Alec and Hilaria welcomed their third daughter, Ilaria. Speaking exclusively to People, the couple told the outlet that they were "overjoyed."

"How grateful we feel to welcome our newest little daughter into this world," the statement continued. "Just as magical and filled with love as every other little person we have been blessed with."

Hailey Baldwin Bieber

Bieber rounds out this laundry list of Baldwin offspring as the niece of Alec and Hilaria Baldwin. (Her dad Stephen is Alec's brother.) Practically speaking, that means that the Biebers have eight first cousins from Alec's family alone, plus one cousin first removed thanks to Ireland's daughter. Holland.
