Teddy Swims Accessorized with Piles of Pearls for the 2025 Grammys for the Sweetest Reason (Exclusive)

Teddy Swims held nothing back when he picked out his jewels for the 2025 Grammys.
The "Lose Control" singer, 32, who was nominated for his first Grammy this year, for best new artist, isn't shy about his love of jewelry, so when it came time to pick out what he was going to wear from Kay Jewelers for all his looks tonight — from the red carpet, to his performance and beyond — he knew he wanted to go bold.
"I always call it a little bit of punk rock and a little bit of baby girl at the same time," he tells PEOPLE of the overall theme for the big night. "We'll do a little rough around the edges, but a little sweet too."
For the red carpet, which he walked with his partner, Raiche Wright, Swims — whose real name is Jaten Collin Dimsdale — leaned into a pearl theme, and he had a very sweet reason to do so.
"My child is due in June and so the birthstone is a pearl," he shares. "So I'm really excited for the pearl look 'cause me and mama will be there with our pearls on and just I guess kind of hinting at our little baby."
The couple announced their happy news just a few weeks ago, writing on Instagram, "We can’t wait to meet you baby 🤍✨," in a joint post showing off Wright's baby bump.

Wright also showed off her bump, which Swims lovingly called "the basketball," on the red carpet at the Grammys, in a cutout dress alongside the singer. He tells PEOPLE that amid all the excitement, seeing her get glam was one of the highlights of his day.
"So I'm really excited to walk down the carpet and see my baby just full-on tummy out proud," he says.
Swims rocked a pearl-covered look of his own, in addition to wearing pearls from Kay Jewelers. He wore a champagne-colored suit that was covered in pearls, in addition to a hat that was also covered in pearls. He told PEOPLE and Entertainment Weekly on the red carpet that it's all for the baby.

Swims didn't just pick a pearl look, though. He loves diamonds. Like, really loves diamonds!
"We're diamonds, diamonds, diamonds all over, man," he describes. "I'm layering up so many things. And also there's this one look I'm really excited about where everything's kind of like the black — black chains — and it's really cute. I'm really excited. We're putting together a bunch of cool looks."
His method for accessorizing is go big or go home, and that started at home, he says. He was raised in the South, and he tells PEOPLE that his parents both also love some bling and encourage him to be himself always.
"I'm a gaudy girl, you know what I'm saying? I'm my mama's son, that's all there is," he gushes. "My mama loves to be flashy. My dad's like that too. Also, I'm from Atlanta baby, so that's flash, diamonds the more, the merrier."

His parents and his older brother are joining him for his big Grammys weekend, and he's "over the moon excited" about all of it — from his nomination to just getting to have his loved ones by his side.
He's soaking it all in and living in the moment.
"I'm excited to spend time with my parents and see the joy on their faces and how proud they are to be here. And I mean, either way, I feel like I've won this weekend with my family and I'm just excited to have them out," he gushes. "It's such a beautiful time."
The Grammys are broadcasting live from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on CBS or stream them live and on-demand on Paramount+.
