Taylor Swift 'sneaks out the back' to avoid restaurant crowd

Taylor - a Swiftie from Lafayette, two hours from New Orleans - was among those out front hoping to see her namesake leave the restaurant.

"Yeah, Taylor Swift is eating here," she told BBC Sport. "I saw a notification and after an hour I thought maybe she's going to be done by now."

Asked how long she'd wait to see her, she added: " I've waited after concerts for two or three hours to meet the acts that come out, so I mean, I can wait as long as I need. This is nothing. I've only been here 20 minutes, I could stay another two hours or four. Whatever it takes."

Unfortunately, Taylor missed Taylor.

Margaret and Barbie from New Orleans went to eat at the restaurant and got a surprise.

"We walked in and Taylor Swift and all of her entourage were behind a screen," said Margaret shortly after leaving the restaurant. "They've just left and snuck out the back."

"Through the kitchen!" Barbie added.

Margaret continued: "There were like a thousand people outside waiting for her and she snuck out the back. And they're still all there."
