Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes will not appear on Bravo's upcoming new reality TV series about the Kansas City Chiefs wives and girlfriends.

"Taylor and Brittany are not part of the show at all and will not even be filmed," a source close to the pair exclusively told PEOPLE. "Taylor especially is very protective of what little private life she has left."

"She enjoys all the ladies she's met, but she will not be a part of Bravo's storyline," the source added of the music superstar, 34, who is dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

PEOPLE previously reported that Bravo is currently filming for a reality show about the WAGs supporting the Super Bowl-winning team. While the show is only in development and the cast list has yet to be officially determined, it will potentially include Mecole Hardman Jr.'s fiancée, Chariah Gordon, and Sheawna Weathersby, who shares two children with defensive tackle Chris Jones, an exclusive source told PEOPLE.

"There's still lots to figure out, including who would be a part of the final cast and whether there's enough there to build a full series around. It's very much a work in progress," the source said.

Another source told PEOPLE the pilot for the Bravo series was filmed during the NFL offseason and that the Chiefs players made very minor appearances.

"The action is all centered around Chariah and Sheawna and their group of friends, who all know the struggles of being partners to these workaholic athletes," the second source added.

Hardman Jr., 26, and Gordon got engaged in June 2024 after about three years of dating. Jones, 30, and Weathersby have largely kept their relationship private since they began dating in November 2015. The pair welcomed their first child together, Christopher — affectionately known as Deuce — in 2018, and their son Carson followed in 2022.

Hardman Jr. and Gordon made headlines last year when their first child together, son Three, was born on Super Bowl Sunday. Hardman was preparing to play in the game (which the Chiefs won) when Gordon's water broke.

Brittany is currently pregnant and expecting her third baby with husband Patrick Mahomes. The pair are already parents to daughter Sterling Skye, born in February 2021, and son Patrick "Bronze" Lavon, born in November 2022.

Although Swift won't appear alongside Gordon or Weathersby on the new Bravo show, the "Fortnight" singer recently posed with the WAGs during the Chiefs' Sept. 15 game against the Cincinnati Bengals at Arrowhead Stadium .

While at the game, Swift took Instagram selfies with the pair, which showed the trio posing in front of a photo of Kelce in his No. 87 jersey on the wall. Another full-length shot captured the women posing with Swift in the middle, while another clip showed Swift and Gordon hugging.
