Swift also received two nominations in the Top Billboard 200 Album category for her 2023 album 1989 (Taylor’s Version) and her most recent release, 2024’s The Tortured Poets Department.

The pop superstar ultimately won 10 awards at the 2024 ceremony: Top Artist, Top Female Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Hot 100 Songwriter, Top Streaming Songs Artist, Top Billboard Global 200 Artist, Top Billboard Global (Excl. After announcing her 10 new awards, the BBMAs shared a pre-recorded video message on X, formerly Twitter, from Swift, in which she thanked the awards show and her fans while holding one of her new trophies.

“Thank you to the Billboard Awards, thank you to the fans—because Billboard is counting your stuff," she said. "They’re counting what you listen to, the albums that you’re passionate about. And so I count these as, like, fan-voted awards, because you guys are the ones who care about our albums and come see us in concert.

"Everything that’s happened with the Eras Tour and The Tortured Poets Department, I just have to say thank you," Swift continued. "It means the world to me that you guys have embraced the things I’ve made, and the fact that you’ve cared so much about my music. This is, like, the nicest early birthday present you could have given me. So thank you very much.” After giving the trophy a quick kiss, she added, "I love it. It’s exactly what I wanted."

Swift’s victory at the 2024 BBMAs came just four days after celebrating another career milestone. The “Shake It Off” hitmaker, who has been touring since March 2023, marked the end of her hit international Eras Tour with a final concert in Vancouver, British Columbia, on Sunday, Dec. 8. Swift posted a tribute to the tour on social media a few days later, leaving some fans “crying” over the end of the successful show’s run.
