Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen may be on good terms once again.
The 30-year-old Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star took to her Instagram Stories on Jan. 27 to wish Mortensen, 32, a happy birthday. In her post, she included a video of Mortensen holding their son Ever True — who was born in March 2024 — and wrote "Happy birthday baby daddy 🎉 wishing nothing but the best for you."
Paul also shared in another story post that she and Mortensen joined Mormon Wives cast mates Mikayla Matthews, Mayci Neeley, Jessi Ngatikaura and their husbands for dinner to celebrate the series making its TV network premiere on ABC on Jan. 27.
Ngatikaura also included her own birthday shoutout to Mortensen on her Instagram Stories and wrote "Thanks for being the second best member of Dadtok 😜" over a video of everyone singing to him at the dinner. The video also showed Paul and Mortensen sitting together while he held Ever True.

Mortensen and Paul officially got together months after she split from her ex-husband Tate Paul in July 2022. While the pair had their ups and downs during that time, speculation that they were no longer together ramped up after the pair celebrated Christmas separately and shared TikToks of their time with their children without each other.
Paul alluded to the "pain" of going from "chaos to pure silence" in her TikTok on co-parenting during the holidays while Mortensen shared a TikTok of him opening presents with Ever True.

After weeks of dropping other hints online, Paul confirmed their breakup in an Instagram Q&A shared on Jan. 20 and admitted that "I cry every day." She also opened up about her grief in the Q&A and added, "The more you resist the pain coming through, the longer the suffering, learned this the hard way."
Paul referred back to one of her TikToks from Christmas and shared some of the struggles she dealt with while co-parenting, listing "the quiet after the chaos" as one of them. Some of the other struggles she listed included "missing out [on] time with your kids" and "inconsistency."
Paul also confirmed she is currently not dating anyone and added that she "couldn't think of anything worse" than dating.
