Susan Noles Clarifies Relationship Status After Sparking Romance Rumors with “The Golden Bachelorette”'s Jack Lencioni

Susan Noles says she’s still on the market.

The former Golden Bachelor contestant, 67, clarified rumors that she and Jack Lencioni, who appeared on Joan Vassos’ season of The Golden Bachelorette, were dating. Although the pair have spent time together, Noles revealed they are not in a relationship.

“God bless Jack,” she said on the Jan. 22 episode of iHeart Radio’s I Do, Part 2 podcast. “The world thought, ‘Susan and Jack.’ Jack likes to cook like I do. We did meet and he’d be a great friend.”

Noles went on to say that she doesn’t think she and Lencioni are compatible: “We’re both loud and we’re both Italian and we both like to cook and we’re both funny at times. Two of the same as me may be not so good.”

On a recent episode of her Bachelor Happy Hour: Golden Hour podcast, which she hosts with former castmate Kathy Swarts, Noles shared a similar sentiment.

“[Lencioni is] a great guy. I could see us cooking together, laughing together,” she said. “But the chemistry wasn’t there.”

“You need to have chemistry,” she added. “You can’t force it. He seems like a great guy. He was fun. He wasn’t my guy. I consider him my friend.”

Despite not finding her perfect man yet, Noles has been open in the past about continuing to look for love. In May, she told PEOPLE that she had been on a couple dates with a man she met shopping at Marshalls.

“He bought a new home and he was going to get some things he needed, and he asked to take a selfie,” Noles, who lives in the Philadelphia area, explained. “I can't go grocery shopping without somebody recognizing [me]. And this is Philly, the City of Brotherly Love. We all know everybody here.”

Months later, in August, she revealed the two continued to see each other, but she didn’t see it going much further.

“He's a nice person and we hang out from time to time,” Noles explained. “I don't think it's anything crazy serious, but it's good.”

She then joked that she didn’t have many other prospects, saying she thought more men would be sliding into her DMs after The Golden Bachelor aired.

“Everybody said, ‘Oh, you're going to get so many DMs and men are going to be hitting you up.’ It does not happen,” she shared with PEOPLE. “I don't know if I'm too old or I'm too big of a personality, but yeah, no.”
