Sunrise's Natalie Barr's photo fail in $1,140 power suit: 'It was early'
Natalie Barr has wowed fans in a stunning lilac suit.
Ever since taking over the Sunrise hosting job in March 2021, Natalie Barr has wowed viewers with an array of ensembles, mostly from Australian designers. And Thursday morning’s show was no different, with the 55-year-old donning a gorgeous $1,140 lilac suit from Ginger & Smart.
However, while fans can't get enough of her luxurious sense of style, there was a relatable detail in the photo that Natalie herself pointed to in the caption.
“It was early so it took 2 goes to open my eyes in the pic,” she wrote, with the first photo showing Nat with her eyes shut and the next with them open.
Fans didn’t bat an eyelid though, with a stream of them heading for the comments section to compliment her on her eye-popping suit.

“That colour definitely suits you Nat, stunning,” one person commented.
“You look amazing in that beautiful mauve pant suit it is definitely your colour,” another wrote.
The pants, which feature a high waist and a flared leg, cost $445, while the jacket, which features a figure-hugging cut with an adjustable waist belt at reverse, costs $695 from the Aussie designer.
And while Nat is a fan of the undoubtedly flattering styles from the Australian designers, she’s also a keen bargain hunter, having shown off an array of outfits from such brands as Zara and Cue in the past.
In an interview with the Daily Telegraph, Nat previously revealed the bright outfits she wears on TV are very different to her normal style.
"My ‘real life’ involves a lot of black, navy and brown, but my 'Sunrise life' is all about colour, so I get to be a different version of me," she told the publication.
"It’s definitely a fun part of my job, and I particularly love wearing Australian brands."
Nat mentioned some of her favourites include Scanlan Theodore, Camilla and Marc, Zimmerman, Acler and Country Road among others.
"I’m so much more open-minded working with a stylist who says 'Just try it on!’" she added.

However, there are a few things she has realised she needs to avoid on-screen.
"Whenever I wear florals people say I look like my grandmother’s couch," she said. "If I wear a sheer top people say I look like I’ve just come from a night out. We do try to stick to plain colours, but avoid shiny, bulky, thin stripes and checks."
