Sunrise host Nat Barr in stitches during live interview with Aussie baker

Sunrise host Nat Barr may be well known for keeping cool, calm, and collected, but a hilarious moment during a live interview left the seasoned newsreader-turned-host in stitches.

During Friday morning's program, weatherman Sam Mac was interviewing Queensland baker Mick, when he asked if he enjoyed eating his own products. The baker's response had not only Sam, but hosts Natalie and Matt Doran, unable to contain their laughter.

"Do you eat a lot of the products you make? Are you a bread and dough enthusiast and do you enjoy the baked goods?" Sam asked the baker as a final question.

"I do. I mean, seriously, have a look," he quipped, pointing to his own 'physique'.

The no holds barred response got a laugh from the usual funnyman Sam, who said: "What a legend" before throwing back to Nat and Matt in the studio.

The hosts though were in stitches, trying to contain their own laughter, with Nat responding: "Isn't he!"

Bizarre Sunrise moment shocks hosts

It comes after a bizarre Sunrise moment on air earlier in the week, during another segment with Sam Mac, left the hosts stunned.

While doing his weather segment from the Darrell Lea confectionery factory in Sydney, Sam decided he really had to get in there and taste the goods that were being produced in front of him - so he did.

He was offered a liquorice treat to try, but instead he knelt down and actually opened his mouth to catch the liquorice as it fell off the conveyor belt.

The move prompted a shocked reaction from the shots back in the studio.

"No, isn't that a health and safety issue?" a stunned Natalie Barr exclaimed.

Her fellow co-host David Koch agreed, saying: "In Covid times you can't do that!"

A shocked Edwina Bartholomew also added: "Look at the manager in the red hair net has rushed over [to stop it]. That's just ruined a whole batch."

"Look at the looks he is getting from all of them," Kochie pointed out.
