It’s been four days since the 2019 TV Week Logie Awards, but there’s still one feud that’s not slowing down in the aftermath of Australian TV’s night of nights.
David ‘Kochie’ Koch and Samantha Armytage have been at the centre of another explosive video shared by Married At First Sight’s Martha Kalifatidis, after the Sunrise hosts claimed the MAFS star ‘elbowed’ Kochie at the Logies.
On Wednesday night Martha posted a new clip on her Instagram account, in a bid to set the record straight with her ‘truth’ about the apparent red carpet incident.
“I'm a person and I have feelings and Sam and Koch have caused me so much stress and anxiety these past few days and I just feel like it's so unnecessary, like for what, for ratings?” the reality star said in the candid video.
“It's at the expense of my wellbeing and it's not fair.”
Martha, who is still with MAFS husband Michael Brunelli in real life, went on to say the backlash she’s received is unnecessary, and that she didn’t ask for this feud to ignite in the first place.
“He [Kochie] just thinks that because I was on a reality TV show and I'm a reality TV star that I don't deserve to get an apology from him or perhaps that I'm beneath him,” she told her followers.
“They've continued to mock me every morning on their show and I just feel like that goes to show you that they're no better than the thousands of trolling messages I've received over the last few months.”
The tiff began on Monday morning after the Logies were held on Sunday night at The Star on the Gold Coast.
“I've still got bruises in the ribs from the Married At First Sight woman who elbowed me on the way through on the red carpet!” he told Sunrise viewers.
“The one with the dark hair? She was fierce,” newsreader Natalie Barr then said.
“Someone is saying Martha in my ear?” Sam Armytage chimed in. “I could not pick her out of a lineup, but my God she got you in the ribs.”
“Do not get between Martha and the camera,” sports reporter Mark Beretta added, to which Sam responded, “Especially when you've only got 15 minutes of fame!”
