Sam Armytage calls out MAFS' Martha for 'elbowing' Kochie at Logies

Samantha Armytage has called out Married At First Sight star Martha Kalifatidis for reportedly elbowing her co-host David Koch at Sunday night’s TV Week Logie Awards.

The Sunrise crew recounted the alleged altercation on-air the following morning - despite Kochie having no clue who Martha, 31, actually was.

“I’ve still got bruises in the ribs from the Married At First Sight woman who elbowed me on the way through on the red carpet,” he revealed.

News presenter Natalie Barr was also in the dark, adding, “The one with the dark hair? She was fierce.”

Thankfully the show’s producers jumped in to inform Sam of the reality star and Kim Kardashian-lookalike’s identity.

“Someone is saying ‘Martha’ in my ear,” she said, adding, “I could not pick her out of a line-up, but my god she got you in the ribs.”

Sports presenter Mark Beretta joked, “Do not get between Martha and the camera.”

“Especially when you’ve only got 15 minutes of fame!” Sam laughed, making a jabbing gesture with her elbow.

Fake news?

Martha is pouring cold water over the incident if her response to one Instagram user’s comment is anything to go by.

“Kochie’s comment this morning about you was gold” the user wrote on one of Martha’s posts, to which she replied, “Fake news.”

Yahoo Lifestyle has reached out to Martha for comment.

The brunette attended TV’s night of nights alongside her reality ‘husband’ Michael, while her former friends Jessika Power and Ines Basic were left off the guest list.

Roasted

Both MAFS and Sunrise got their fair share of shade thrown their way at Sunday’s Logies when Gold winner Tom Gleeson took aim at both while roasting Karl Stefanovic during his opening monologue.

“If you are on breakfast TV, if you are too entertaining they fire you,” Tom said, “What I'm saying David Koch, [is] your job is safe.”

Kochie cheekily rubbed his nose with his middle finger in response, before Tom turned his attention to this year’s highest rating reality show.

“Married At First Sight here? Where are they?” he said, “Well done. Channel 9 were happy to cash in on your ratings by showing off your tacky weddings and fired Karl Stefanovic for having one.” Ouch.
