This story contains light spoilers from Sullivan's Crossing season 1.

We don't know about you lovely folks, but we're ready to get back to the world of Sullivan's Crossing. And with the season 2 U.S. premiere just around the corner, it's only fair we learn what's going to happen with our favorite will-they or won't-they couple.

The hit CW drama is airing new episodes starting Wednesday, October 2 at 8 p.m. ET, and ahead of the first installment, Morgan Kohan (who plays Maggie Sullivan) sat down to tease what's going on between her character and love interest Cal Jones (Chad Michael Murray). While she couldn't reveal too much about what happens between the two, Morgan did share how there's a certain quality about Cal that makes him a candidate for Maggie to date.

"I think Maggie really finds a like-mindedness in Cal, and he seems to not need or want her to be a different version of herself," she said in a clip posted on Sullivan's Crossing's Instagram on September 10. "That attracts her to him."

When fans saw how Morgan sweetly referred to Maggie and Cal's potential romance going into Sullivan's Crossing season 2, it wasn't difficult for them to cheer them on in the comments.

"This is one of the reasons why I love Morgan because she is still team Cal ❤️," one person wrote. "Of course Morgan is [Team Cal] and Maggie is too for sure ❤️," another added.

As viewers may remember, Maggie has had a rocky road when it comes to relationships. The beginning of the series saw the neurosurgeon dating Andrew Mathews (Allan Hawco), who wasn't too thrilled about her returning to her hometown amid a malpractice lawsuit after an operation caused a patient's death.

Maggie later met Cal while on her dad Harry "Sully" Sullivan (Scott Patterson)'s property, with the two kissing toward the end of the season. But as Cal was grieving the death of his wife from ALS, he eventually didn't tell anyone about him picking up and leaving Sullivan's Crossing for an indeterminable amount of time.

So, will Maggie forgive Cal for up and leaving? Given how she left the Crossing for Boston at the end of season 1, Morgan had some thoughts about that as well.

"If I'm gonna be really kind to Cal, I think that he left because he had a big part of his life that he needed to put behind him," she added. "This is his wife, his love and all of that. Obviously, we wish he left something, but I don't give him too much flack about it."

Well, looks like we have some drama to tune into when Sullivan's Crossing gets back on the air!
