Patrick J. Adams is looking back on a life-changing moment — for both his Suits character, Michael Ross, and himself.

In an exclusive clip from the upcoming premiere episode of Sidebar: A Suits Watch Podcast from SiriusXM, which Adams hosts with former costar Sarah Rafferty, the actor pinpoints the exact scene in the pilot that he says changed his life. It just so happens to be the same moment that Mike's trajectory changed, too.

"It's weird to have a moment on camera where you could see your life change, you know, because this is where my life changed," he tells Rafferty on the podcast. "The show changed my whole life. It's changed my career. It's changed the way that I work. It's changed the people in my life."

The scene in question features Mike's first encounter with Gabriel Macht's Harvey Specter, a newly appointed senior partner at the law firm Pearson Hardman, which has a reputation of exclusively hiring Harvard Law School graduates. But when Mike — who hasn't attended any law school — storms into an interview with Harvey after a drug deal gone wrong, his photographic memory and former dreams of becoming a lawyer persuade Harvey to hire him on the spot.

"So many things wouldn't have happened were it not for the show," Adams adds. "And I can kind of distill it all down to this one scene between Harvey and Mike in this room. It's pretty wild."

In their new podcast, Adams and Rafferty, who played Donna Paulsen, will dive into a different Suits episode each week, complete with new behind-the-scenes stories and guest appearances from their fellow stars. Fans can expect Gina Torres and showrunner Aaron Korsh to be among the first slate of guests on the pod.

The legal drama originally aired for nine seasons on USA from 2011-2019, but found a new audience when it dropped on Netflix and Peacock last year, smashing streaming records in the process.

Suits launched a spinoff in 2019, Pearson, starring Torres in a reprisal of her role as Jessica Pearson, but it was canceled after one season. Earlier this year, it was announced that another spinoff will bring some new characters to our screens: Suits: L.A. stars Stephen Amell as former New York prosecutor Ted Black, who moves from the Big Apple to Southern California.
