Studio 10 hosts stunned after newsreader's live UTI admission
Studio 10 newsreader Natasha Exelby has left her co-stars speechless after revealing that she’s battling a rather severe urinary tract infection or ‘UTI’ live on air.
Natasha made the surprise admission on Friday morning when Sarah Harris asked if the story about a bathtime-loving baby was making her feel ‘clucky’.
“That bubba is very, very cute but I'm going to be real with you guys on this one... I had a UTI earlier this week that was not contracted in the fun way,” Natasha declared.
“So nothing is happening. I'm not interested in anything,” she added as Sarah dissolved into giggles.
Studio 10 co-host Tristan MacManus, however, appeared frozen to the spot before awkwardly giving the camera two thumbs up.
“It's a bodily thing that we need to talk about!” Natasha exclaimed. “It is, we do need to talk about.”

‘That was magnificent’
Word of the former ABC newsreader’s frank health discussion made its way to Natasha’s Channel 10 colleagues on The Project, with host Claire Hooper applauding her honesty on the show that same evening.
“It is, we do need to talk about it. That was magnificent,” Claire said after the panel watched a replay of Natasha’s UTI chat.
“And you know what Natasha, while you're being honest, I’m going to be honest and say everyone at Channel 10 has a UTI,” Claire added with a cheeky smile before asking Waleed to supply Natasha with some cranberry juice.
‘Keep it real’
Over on social media, Channel 10 viewers applauded Natasha’s efforts to normalise talking about health issues like UTIs which are said to be 14 times more frequent in women than men.
“Brilliant!!! Taking away the taboo of women's bodies!!!” one wrote.
“She is great, spontaneous and funny, love her,” added another.
Several fans urged the network to make her a permanent fixture on Studio 10.
“She’s awesome. You need her on more often,” said one.
“I love her she is very funny, keep up the good work. Wish we could see her more,” said another.
