Aussie presenter's baffling dress sparks debate
An Aussie newsreader has unwittingly sparked a debate online after sharing a photo to Instagram of herself wearing what she described as a white dress.
“Wednesday in White!” 7NEWS Brisbane presenter Kendall Gilding captioned a snap of herself sporting the sleeveless Ted Baker frock.
“Living for this dress - the smooth lines, lapel collar detail, divine fabric, the freshest of white!” she added.
The post left her followers baffled, however, as to many the dress appeared to be an entirely different colour.
“It looks blue,” one follower wrote in the comments.
“My fav! Looking beautiful in blue babe,” added another.
“Definitely blue but beautiful,” said a third.
Kendall herself appeared confused about the garment’s hue, responding to a fan’s question about whether it was blue or white with, “lol you tell me?”
The mum and podcast host later set the record straight by uploading a follow-up pic of herself wearing the frock at the news dress, confirming that it is indeed white.
“For everyone debating whether my dress was white or blue, here’s a photo in the news studio!” she wrote in the caption.
Several fans took to the comments to sheepishly admit their mistake.

“I thought it was blue too, oops lol,” one wrote.
“I was wrong. I said blue,” said another.
The white/blue argument aside, Kendall’s followers were able to agree that she looked “stunning” in the dress.
“One of your best,” gushed one.
“Looking incred,” added another.
