‘Too good to be true?’

Fresh from the embarrassment of being in love with her sister’s boyfriend, Rose has decided to ice Cash Newman (Nicholas Cartwright) out completely — making their workplace uncomfortable.

“Rose finds the whole situation to be a bit messy and confusing with Cash and Jasmine. Rose doesn’t like lying to Jasmine, and feels guilty about what happened. She genuinely feels as though she has done nothing wrong. I really hope these two coppers can work through their drama!” Kirsty tells Yahoo Lifestyle.

Finding comfort in Summer Bay’s latest arrival, handyman Tex Wheeler (Lucas Linehan), things start to get steamy quickly. Trying to convince herself and Cash that she’s not harbouring any secret feelings, the pair accelerate their relationship.

Rose believes Tex is a ‘total breath of fresh air’ and he proves to be a fantastic distraction.

“Rose finds something new, exciting and curious in Tex. There is definitely an initial attraction there, this acts as impetus for her to pursue things further,” Kirsty adds.

While not much is known about Tex, the latest promo teases that he may be ‘too good to be true’.

“I think it’s very serendipitous that Tex enters Rose’s life. He offers her an ‘out’ from the confusion around Cash and Jasmine. I think this could be the start of something great, but you’ll have to wait and see how this new Summer Bay romance plays out…” the actress spills.

Nikau and Naomi’s budding relationship

Fans were devastated when Nikau cheated on girlfriend Bella last year, after Nikau’s agent tricked him into bed. While they reunited after Nikau nearly died in a terrible car crash, it took lots of work for the young couple to get to the good place where they are now.

Bella recently left to pursue her dreams in New York, and the pair have been struggling to make a long-distance relationship work. Last week, Nikau made a daring surf rescue and gained an admirer, Naomi.

After another unfortunate accident, the pair find themselves spending lots of time together. It’s clear they enjoy each other’s company, but does Naomi see him as more than just a friend?

Salt needs a lifeline

Mackenzie Booth (Emily Weir) has lost her boyfriend, apartment, and now faces losing her business too — unless she can find someone to bail her out.

Alongside her good friend Felicity Newman (Jacqui Purvis), the pair set out to find an investor to save Salt. Mackenzie admits that she’s unsure if she can work with an outside investor, not wanting to relinquish control after everything that happened with PK.

Felicity has a bright idea that will save Salt and also stop Mackenzie from having to accept money from a third party — she could invest and the pair could be equal partners.

Will Mackenzie accept this lifeline or is she too proud?
