Spoilers: Home and Away's Dean plots revenge with the River Boys

Home and Away viewers were shocked last week when the wrench used to kill PK mysteriously appeared in Ziggy Astoni’s (Sophie Dillman) car, framing Dean Thompson (Patrick O’Connor) for murder.

This week, Dean won’t back down without a fight, an arrest is made and a guilty character considers fleeing Summer Bay.

Dean isn’t holding back

Dean refuses to go down for PK’s murder, and with the help of the River Boys, he tracks Nathan Silva (Ryan Panizza) down and lets his fists do the talking. Determined to clear his name and keep his family safe, he crosses lines that he’s vowed to never cross again.

Ziggy Astoni (Sophie Dillman) won’t be impressed by the latest twist in her boyfriend’s saga, as Dean’s criminal past has always been a thorn in her side. Patrick told Yahoo Lifestyle that Dean needs to protect his family and clear his name, no matter the consequences.

“He’s very aware that his past with the River Boys is something Ziggy strongly disapproves of. But having Ziggy angry with him…is a path Dean would rather go down instead of sitting back and doing nothing,” he mentions.

Mackenzie wrestles with her conscience

After Felicity Newman (Jacqui Purvis) is arrested for being part of the illegal poker ring, Mackenzie Booth (Emily Weir) is terrified and decides to flee Summer Bay. A chance encounter with Marilyn reminds her how special her friendship is with Felicity, and Mackenzie nobly hands herself into the police.

Emily explains that her character is absolutely ‘sick with regret’, saying that Mackenzie’s world is coming crumbling down.

“In a moment of fear and panic, terrified of the thought of going to jail, she considers leaving town.

“Mac could never live with herself if she let Felicity wear the punishment for the poker nights at Salt. She decides she must face the music and deal with whatever comes by coming clean about everything.”

Are Mackenzie and Logan done for good?

Last week, Logan Bennett (Harley Bonner) shocked fans when he told Mackenzie that their relationship was over. When asked if there’s a possibility of the pair making up, Emily shares an insight, saying: “There is always a chance that things may work out. However, the fact that Mac has lied to Logan about the poker nights and put him in a really tough position with having to perform surgery on Tane…builds up to Logan really questioning his trust with her.

“Mac loves Logan, but he now feels like he has been blindsided and the trust is broken. This leaves them in no man’s land of what to do next, do they reconcile, can they work through it?”

It’s no secret that Harley Bonner finished on the show late last year, with a Seven spokesperson saying that he would not return when the show resumed filming in January. This means there’s bad news for fans of the couple, as a break-up could be the reason Logan exits the soap.

One fan wrote on social media, “I really want them to work out, but I know he’s leaving the show!”, while another added “I dislike the fact he has to leave.”

Will Logan take the fall for Millie?

Logan was in a fatal car crash recently with guest character Millie (Zara Zoe). Millie recently remembered the crash happened because she was texting while driving, but refuses to tell the police and is desperate for Logan to take the fall.

Xander Delaney (Luke Van Os) knows the truth, but Millie has been blackmailing him with his past to keep him quiet. The paramedic takes his chance to come clean and save Logan, but will he be believed?
