Spoilers: Home and Away's sinister new arrival is watching Marilyn

Last week on Home and Away, Cash Newman (Nicholas Cartwright) had a nervous breakdown, Ziggy Astoni (Sophie Dillman) and Remi Carter (Adam Rowland) were in a sticky situation, and the Parata family copped backlash from the community.

This week, a fan-favourite romance is on the rocks, there's a sinister new arrival, and the Parata family face losing everything.

After lying to her boyfriend Dean Thompson (Patrick O’Connor) about going on a road trip with another man, Ziggy’s relationship is in jeopardy.

The couple aren’t good at communicating at the best of times, and the pair are confused about how to repair their broken relationship.

Patrick O’Connor tells Yahoo Lifestyle that Dean doesn’t think Ziggy actually has a thing for Remi, but all the lies ‘unsettles him’.

“Dean and Ziggy have been together for a while and have definitely been through a fair bit! But because of that, the space they find themselves in is new territory,” he says.

“If they can’t be honest with each other, where does this leave them?”

After turning to Mackenzie Booth (Emily Weir) to help, the couple takes steps to repair their relationship with Ziggy finally admitting she wants to be romanced.

“Ziggy doesn’t want to hurt Dean by telling him how she’s feeling, but once Dean realises that this is where she’s coming from, the cards all fall into place,” Patrick adds.

Roo’s new student causes alarm

Roo Stewart (Georgie Parker) has been going full steam ahead with her tutoring business, and the town is excited to see her take on a second student.

However, there’s something strange about Heather (Sofia Nolan), and the soap has teased a mystery connection between her and Marilyn Chambers (Emily Symons).

While the student pretends not to know anyone in Summer Bay, she’s spotted taking a secret photo of Marilyn. It doesn’t look like she’s actually here for tutoring.

In one of the promos for the show, Marilyn receives a letter with a baby photo inside, and the words ‘Guess who?’ written on the back.

Fans have been speculating about the relationship between Heather and Marilyn, with some interesting theories.

“Considering Marilyn’s mother’s name is also Heather, maybe her parents had another child years after giving up Marilyn and her younger sister,” one fan guessed.

“I wonder if she’s Marilyn’s daughter,” another pondered.

“Marilyn loves children. I think she would never give one up for adoption whatever the reason,” a fan pointed out.

The Parata family shunned by Summer Bay

After Tane Parata (Ethan Browne) and Nikau Parata (Kawakawa Fox-Reo) were arrested as part of the undercover police raid at the bikie headquarters, they have become pariahs in the community.

Not only is Nikau’s job as a surf lifesaver at risk, but now the Surf Club is considering terminating Tane’s lease for Summer Bay Fit.

The family are unable to clear their name, as it would out their involvement in the raid to the bikies, and put a huge target on their back.

With everything crumbling around them, Nikau decides to head to New York to win back his ex-girlfriend Bella Nixon (Courtney Miller). Intercepted by Dean, the torn lifesaver faces more heartbreak when he’s warned not to get on a plane.

“When Dean is talking to Nikau about Bella, he is trying to come from a place of compassion,” Patrick tells us.

“He knows that Bella has begun her new life in New York and struggles to see how Nikau would be part of that without causing any pain.”
