Sophia Bush and Grant Hughes Reach Divorce Settlement Over 1 Year After Filing
Bush filed for divorce in August 2023 after 13 months of marriage
Sophia Bush and Grant Hughes have settled their divorce, PEOPLE confirms.
According to documents obtained by PEOPLE, the One Tree Hill actress, who filed for divorce in August 2023 after 13 months of marriage, came to a confidential settlement agreement with Hughes on Monday, Dec. 30.
Representatives for Bush and Hughes could not immediately be reached by PEOPLE for comment.
In his Sept. 2023 response to Bush's divorce filing, Hughes listed "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split. He noted their date of separation as June 27 — 16 days after the couple celebrated their wedding anniversary on June 11.
The initial filing also showed that neither of the exes requested spousal support and asked each party to be responsible for their own attorney fees. However, in early 2024, the two disagreed over the "Unity Agreement" in their prenup.
Bush and Hughes tied the knot in June 2022. The actress filed for divorce seven weeks after celebrating their wedding anniversary in a post on Instagram that was later deleted.

“Today marks 365 days of calling you 'husband.' Best decision of my life. It still feels just like this. Ecstatic. Running toward the future, grinning and laughing, together. I love you, my favorite. Happy Anniversary 🤍" read the since-deleted caption.
Bush later revealed that the message was just "a story." After hitting post, she threw up in the bathroom, according to her Glamour April 2024 cover story.
A source close to the couple told PEOPLE after the divorce filing that "Sophia and Grant were friends for 10 years and bonded during COVID through their love of community service. They continue to run their nonprofit together and remain good friends."
Two months after the split, PEOPLE exclusively confirmed that Bush had been spending time with professional soccer player Ashlyn Harris.
"After being friends for years, and running in the same social circles, Sophia and Ashlyn went out on their first dinner date a couple of weeks ago," an insider told PEOPLE in October 2023.
A rep for Hughes would later tell PEOPLE that "Grant will always want the best for Sophia, and is supportive of all that makes her happy and fulfilled."
