Dakota Johnson, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Julia Garner and more celebrities and industry insiders attended the the spring 2025 Gucci runway show during Milan Fashion Week on Friday in sheer styles, ranging from subtle transparencies to fully translucent ensembles.
The sheer trend has been rampant on the red carpets, making a clear mark on both the 2024 Emmy Awards and 2024 VMAs red carpets earlier this month. Here are the sheer styles front row attendees and celebrity guests wore at the Gucci spring 2025 show.

Dakota Johnson
The Gucci brand ambassador wore a black oversized leather coat draped over her shoulders over a white lace maxi dress featuring sunburst-like floral detailing throughout, pairing the sheer dress with black slingback pumps and a patent leather Jackie 1961 handbag. Johnson was styled by Kate Young.
Daisy Edgar-Jones
Daisy Edgar-Jones opted for a white crochet three-piece set, comprising high-waisted shorts, a bra-style crop top and a matching cardigan with detailed floral embroidery. The Gucci ambassador accessorized with an oversized brown suede hobo bag, completing the look with Mary-Jane ballet flats with Gucci’s signature metal horsebit. Edgar-Jones was styled by Dani Michelle.

Julia Garner
Garner, who is the star of the Gucci Guilty campaign alongside A$AP Rocky and Elliot Page, played with texture in a three-piece ensemble: a wine red blazer, a sheer blouse with a large bow at the collar and leather-like shorts. She wore sheer black tights with an ombre effect, darkening towards her shiny red pumps.

The British actress donned a layered two-piece ensemble, featuring a sheer black short-sleeved shirt over a mid-length skirt, pairing it with black slingbacks. She added a pop of color with a highlighter-green purse.

Helena Bordon
The co-founder of Brazilian fashion chain 284 wore a sheer white dress with a paisley floral design over bright orange hot shorts, featuring black lace on the bodice. She added a storm-gray, floor-length coat and brown leather Oxford slingback shoes, accessorizing with white sunglasses and a GG Milano handbag.

The singer, model, and actress, who recently became the face of Gucci’s Ancora campaign in Vietnam, wore a sheer floral dress with garden hues of green, soft yellow and earthy brown. She draped a wool green jacket over the delicate ensemble, pairing it with red Oxford-style slingbacks and a matching GG Milano handbag.
Tecla Insolia
The Italian singer sat front row in a gray blazer over a sheer black bra, combining the sheer and peekaboo bra layering trends seen on 2024 red carpets. She completed the look with black pumps adorned with draping crystal embellishments.
Anne Curtis
Filipino-Australian actress Anne Curtis paired a sheer blouse with a mid-length skirt featuring a pattern of daisies. She sat next to Hồ Ngọc Hà front row at the show.
