"There is a thing called sunlight, and in that sunlight, you get different colors," she went on, noting that her skin might look different in various photos or videos due to things like recorrecting and the style of makeup.

Some people accused Williams of bleaching her skin after she shared a recent video at the end of November that went viral.

As she addressed her fans in the new Instagram Live, Williams declared, "I am calling you out on this, because it is ridiculous...I am a dark Black woman and I love who I am and love how I look, and that's just not my thing."

Williams announced the special live on her social media ahead of time on Dec. 2, celebrating her makeup brand WYN BEAUTY and the Cyber Monday sale, writing, "I’m answering questions (put them in the comments below!) 👇 plus, showing you my daily makeup routine 💄💚 Who’s coming?"

Williams' beauty brand aims to provide clean, affordable makeup that was "formulated, tested, and perfected with deeper skin tones as the starting point—meaning everyone will find their match." It was launched in April 2024.
