Sasha and Malia Obama Put a Y2K Spin on Their Cowgirl-Themed Halloween Costumes

The pair still managed to look effortless, as always.

Sasha and Malia Obama are style icons in their own right, so when it came to dressing up for Halloween this year, the girls put an effortless, Y2K twist to their costumes for a night out partying.

The girls attended Billie Eilish's Halloween bash at The Birds Street Club in West Hollywood in simple, yet effective, ensembles. Malia went on the nose for her cowgirl costume, wearing a plain white tank top with a light denim blue miniskirt. She paired the items with black thigh-high boots and a black leather cowgirl hat with white stitching details. For a fun touch, Malia threw a fake python snake over her shoulders.

Sasha, meanwhile, wore a blue baby tee with tiny mini shorts fastened with a large brown belt. Over the shirt, she wore a rich brown vest with a satin lining, and finished off the look with a long black trench coat, a camel colors hobo bag, and slouchy taupe brown boots.

The girls were far from the only famous faces at Eilish's party—Finneas and his girlfriend Claudia Sulewski, The Kid LAROI, Kaia Gerber, Kiernan Shipka, and more were in attendance at the festive event.

The Obama sisters have been on a Y2K streak lately—earlier in the month, the girls were spotted out and about at Charli XCX and Troye Sivan's Sweat Tour at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. For the occasion, Sasha wore a vintage Jean Paul Gaultier long-sleeved T-shirt with plaid details, and paired it with blue jeans, a chunky black belt, and slouchy kitten-heeled boots. Malia used a touch of the office siren aesthetic to drive her outfit of choice, wearing a grey plaid vest as a top with a pleated denim skirt. She completed the look with black mesh stockings and knee-high Coperni Bridge boots.
