Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. Share Rare Family Photos from Thanksgiving Trip to Australia

“Thanksgiving looks a little different this year," Gellar captioned the photos

Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. steered away from the traditional and instead celebrated Thanksgiving in Australia with their children this year.

In a series of family photos on Instagram documenting the family vacation, Gellar, 47, captioned the snapshots, “Thanksgiving looks a little different this year. Yet one thing doesn’t change, I’m still extremely grateful. Also since I’m basically in the future…. The Black Friday sales are 🔥 🔥.”

Along a collection of shots of an Australian beach, Gellar also shared one in which she was cuddled up and smiling with Prinze, 48, while another showed the actress with her son, 11-year-old Rocky.

In January, Gellar revealed that Prinze Jr. is camera-shy and convincing him to take family photos isn’t the easiest task.

During a tropical family vacation to ring in 2024, Gellar shared photos posing with the actor on a grassy lawn in front of the ocean, with palm trees and a beautiful sunset in the background, as she admitted that it’s “not easy to get @realfreddieprinze to take a pic”

The couple, who are also parents to 15-year-old daughter Charlotte, were married in 2002 after meeting while filming the 1997 horror classic I Know What You Did Last Summer.

The two recently hit the red carpet for the premiere of Prinze Jr.’s latest film, The Girl in The Pool. She also joined her husband on the set of his I Know What You Did Last Summer reboot, raising fans' hopes that she might join the project as well.

Gellar, previously shared that one of the secrets to their long-lasting marriage is being mindful and present during their time together.

"Take the 10 minutes – put the phone down. Have a cup of coffee together. Walk the dog at the end of the night. Read a story with your kids," she told PEOPLE in 2020.

"Make the most of the time that you have. We are all pulled in so many directions, so make sure that, whichever one you are focusing on, you're present," she added.
