Sam and Phoebe Burgess spark reconciliation rumours

Sam and Phoebe Burgess have been spotted together after reportedly calling time on their three-year marriage.

The estranged pair, who welcomed their second child three months ago, were spotted spending time with their kids during a cosy day out at Centennial Park.

According to The Daily Telegraph, the NRL star and the former journalist looked happy and relaxed as they spent time together as a family.

But just as reunion rumours began to stir, a source told the publication that the outing was a display of unity “just for their children”>

It comes just days after Phoebe broke her Instagram silence following news of the reported split first made headlines.

The mum-of-two posted a sweet photo of herself holding two-month-old son William – who was born in early December – while enjoying a takeaway coffee.

Interestingly, the 29-year-old, who only captioned the image with emojis, was wearing a ring on her wedding finger, but it did not appear to be her engagement ring or wedding band.

Phoebe was pictured wearing the gold and silver band back in October, along with her engagement ring.

Phoebe hasn’t posted on Instagram since December 21, meanwhile news broke about her and Sam‘s split at the beginning of this year.

According to The Daily Telegraph, former journalist Phoebe has been spending time at her parents’ house in Bowral, after the couple told family and friends that they were separating.

Their reported separation comes after Sam became embroiled in the South Sydney Rabbitohs sexting scandal, back in September.

The 30-year-old sports star shared his “hurt” over seeing his wife upset over the scandal.

“What hurts me the most is seeing my wife upset,” the 29-year-old said at a press conference at the time. “I’m not angry, you can all make your own assumptions regarding the timing of this whole thing coming to light.”

The NRL star insisted his only priority was his loved ones.

“I just want to protect my family,” he explained.
