Phoebe Burgess admits second pregnancy has been 'tough'

After announcing she’s expecting her second child with sports star husband Sam, Australia’s Phoebe Burgess admits she’s finding this pregnancy ‘tough’.

Appearing on Channel Seven’s The Morning Show on Monday, the 29-year-old opened up on the symptoms she’s been enduring, and how they’ve differed to when she was pregnant with first daughter, Poppy.

“Well, Sam and I are having another baby. This one has been really tough,” she said.

“The first one was OK with Poppy, but I have had a bit of a sick time, had vertigo,” Phoebe continued.

“Watching TV was out of the question, but I am feeling a little better now at 14 weeks.”

Phoebe and South Sydney Rabbitohs player Sam welcomed daughter Poppy back in January last year, after getting married in December 2015.

During her TV chat on Monday, Phoebe couldn’t stop gushing about how wonderful a father Sam is.

“Well, as soon as they got off the flight from Denver, he has not put his daughter down,” she revealed.

“They haven’t separated. She is just obsessed with her dad, which is really lovely.

“I don’t get much of a look in when those two are together. He has the softest touch, and I’ve always said this about Sam, even when we fell in love, he has just got a heart of gold, which is why we love him so much.”

The star, who is promoting Vitamin D Awareness Day, also said that her husband’s tough on-field demeanour doesn’t represent his fathering style.

“What you see on the field, it’s not real. It is, because he is passionate, but is not like that at home, obviously,” she explained.
