"This Is Really Difficult": Caitríona Balfe And Sam Heughan Talked "Outlander" And More All While Playing With Puppies

Hello, Sassenachs. You've asked, you begged, and now it's finally here. Sam Heughan and Caitríona Balfe recently swung by BuzzFeed to do our Puppy Interview, and it's so adorable and delightful.

The cuteness was off the charts. The puppies were having so much fun. Sam and Caitríona could not concentrate. It was everything.

To celebrate the return of Outlander Season 7, we asked Sam and Caitríona all of our burning questions about filming the series as we looked back on their 10-year journey of starring in this hit series. Plus, we found time to just ask questions about them that we just wanted to know the answers to.

Outlander returns with Season 7B and picks up right where the first half left off, with Jamie (Heughan), Claire (Balfe), and Ian (John Bell) returning to Scotland after several years away. Meanwhile, Roger (Richard Rankin) is on a mission to find his and Brianna's (Sophie Skelton) son, Jemmy (Blake Johnston Miller), after he's been kidnapped.

Starting off, they looked back at Outlander Season 1, and Caitríona remembered that her very first day of filming involved Claire covered in blood at the field hospital.

Since they recently wrapped the final season of Outlander, Sam also revealed that he got to take home Jamie Fraser's kilt.

Caitríona also revealed that while filming, Sam is always trying to make her laugh and knows exactly how to do it.

We also had time to chat about their lives outside of the show, too. Like what their favorite romance movies of all time are, with Sam's answer surprising Caitríona.

Heck, we even asked which celebrities they've been surprised to find out are fans of theirs, and Caitríona shared an amazing story about how Joni Mitchell apparently loves Outlander.

The whole thing was a dream come true, and it was just delightful to watch these puppies fall in love with Sam and Caitríona in real time.
