Rydel Funk Reveals the Unexpectedly Sweet Meaning Behind Her Fourth Baby’s Unique Name

Rydel Funk has officially welcomed baby number four!

The 31-year-old influencer took to social media on Jan. 29 to announce that she and her husband Capron Funk welcomed their daughter Sugar Love Funk on Jan. 27.

Rydel opened up about the sweet meaning behind her daughter's name on Instagram and explained that "Sugar Lover Girl is what my daddy has called me my entire life 🥹🥰 so basically he named her haha passing on my nickname to my baby Sugar! 💜"

Rydel also opened up about her "unmedicated" birth in a vlog on YouTube and revealed that she started having contractions after her son Super's dance recital. After noting her contractions were only about 30 to 40 seconds long, she says, "I'm assuming I'm having this baby in a couple of hours."

Rydel then shared some intimate videos of her birth before showing herself holding the newest addition to the family. She added that it's "so crazy she was in my stomach and now she's here."

"I still can't get over it," she continued. "[The] fourth time around... still insane I tell you. How do our bodies do that?"

Before Rydel became an influencer, she was one of the five members of the 2009 pop-rock band R5 along with her brothers Ross, Riker, Rocky and Ryland Lynch as well as their family friend Ellington Ratliffin. During their time together as a band, Rydel created her YouTube channel in September 2016, sharing videos of her daily life and talking about "makeup, fashion and lots of food" in her videos.

When the band went on hiatus in March 2018, Rydel's brothers Ross and Rocky continued to pursue music and formed The Driver Era while she continued to post videos to her YouTube channel. She began dating Capron in 2019 before they were engaged in February 2020.

The pair have been married since September 2020 and are parents to their three other children Super, 3, Sweetie, 2, and Storm, 1. Rydel revealed in a video from July 13, 2014, that she was pregnant with her fourth baby, including her reaction after she took a pregnancy test to confirm the news.

"Are we surprised?" she asked while she held up the pregnancy test to the camera. She shared the news with Capron after taking another pregnancy test to confirm and showed the adorable reactions from her other children.
