Ronan Keating hit by family tragedy as brother dies in car crash

Ronan Keating, 46, and his family have been hit by tragedy after the singer's brother Ciaran Keating died in a car crash on Saturday.
Ciaran, a father-of-three in his 50s, was involved in a two-vehicle collision in County Mayo, Ireland, at around 3:35pm, police confirm, with the BBC reporting he was with his wife Ann Marie.
The pair was on their way to see their son Ruairí Keating play for Cork City Football Club, with the crash taking place the day before his 28th birthday.

Ann Marie reportedly suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Mayo University Hospital. The driver of the second car was taken to hospital for the treatment of serious injuries, his passenger was also hospitalised.
According to The Sun, Ronan is believed to have rushed to Ireland to be by his family's side during this devastating time.
"It’s the phone call no one wants to take about their loved ones. Ronan dropped everything as soon as he heard the devastating news," a friend tells the publication. "He is trying to stay strong for the sake of the family and is doing everything he can to support his sister-in-law and his nephews."
They added, "Ronan is absolutely devastated. He lives for his family. This is a cruel bolt from the blue."

Cork City Football Club issued a statement following Ciaran's shock passing that read, "All at Cork City FC are deeply saddened at the passing of Ciaran Keating, father of our player Ruairí Keating.
"We extend our deepest sympathies to Ruairí and the entire Keating family at this exceptionally difficult time. May he rest in peace.
"We ask that the family’s privacy be respected at this difficult time. Funeral arrangements will be confirmed in due course."
