Rod Stewart Shares Rare Personal Photo of His Children and Grandkids to Mark 80th Birthday

Singer-songwriter Rod Stewart celebrated a landmark birthday as he turned 80 years old on Jan. 10, sharing personal photos from over the years for the occasion.

Along with some major throwbacks from his impressive music career, Stewart shared a rare photo of himself posing with his kids and grandkids for a wedding earlier this year.

Stewart shared the birthday update on Instagram, writing in the caption, "Thank you all for the wonderful birthday wishes – 80 years young! 🥂."

"What an incredible journey it’s been – from unforgettable moments on and off the stage to earning some truly special honors along the way," he went on, before declaring, "But above all, my greatest joy has always been performing for you. Cheers to the memories we’ve made and the ones still to come! #80YearsOfRod."

The post included many photos of Stewart performing on stage over the years, as well as a few moments of prestigious accomplishments, such as when he was knighted in 2016.

But one photo puts his large family center stage, with Stewart looking suave in a lilac suit at his son Liam's wedding in June 2024. Included in the photo were all of Stewart's children, with Sarah, Kimberly, Sean, Ruby, Renee, Alastair Wallace and Aiden Patrick joining their father for Liam's big day.

Stewart's wife, Penny Lancaster, was also there, along with his ex-wife, Rachel Hunter, Liam's mother. The two were married from 1990 to 2006 and share two children, Liam and Renee.

The "Maggie May" singer's grandkids were in the photo too, such as Liam and now-wife Nicole's son, Louie, whom she was holding in the photo.

Recently, Stewart and six of his eight kids enjoyed a fun vacation in the Mediterranean ahead of his birthday, with the singer sharing snaps from the trip on social media.
