Rita Ora Pops in Antonio Marras Red and Black Checkered Coat for ‘Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest’ Press Day

Rita Ora turned to festive inspiration for her look during Monday’s promotional event for the upcoming “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest.” On Tuesday, Ora will cohost the show for the second consecutive year.

For the occasion, the singer opted for a selection courtesy of Antonio Marras’s fall 2024 collection. Ora wore the Pascale Coat, which featured a red and black checkered pattern with luxurious Kalgan shearling fur sleeves and detailed floral embellishments.

Ora paired the coat with a black turtleneck and completed her attire with chunky black boots with front buckles. Given the dazzling floral embellishments on the coat, Ora opted to forgo statement pieces of jewelry, keeping the attention squarely on her festive designer coat.

Ora posed alongside her “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest” cohost Ryan Seacrest for a few photos as well. Seacrest elevated casual wintertime dressing with a charcoal gray, double-breasted coat with a sharp black collar.

Ora’s coat made its runway debut during Milan Fashion Week last February. The eponymous designer looked to the medieval Sardinian Princess Eleonora d’Arborea for inspiration, per Luisa Zargani’s WWD review of the collection.

“She was an enlightened and strong woman, and the Carta de Logu was written to protect women, supporting civil rights,” Marras said of his muse for the collection.

“There was a medieval undercurrent in sync with the theme, which sometimes veered into the costumey, as in the patchwork-on-speed dresses with gold studs, and there were a few extra folds on skirts and trenches that added bulk,” Zargani wrote in WWD’s review.

“But when Marras restrained himself a bit, the result was beautiful and what we have come to expect of him — as in the feather-light floral chiffon dresses or the sophisticated, tailored trenches and pantsuits.”

“Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest” airs live on Tuesday, beginning at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
