Rihanna was dressed to impress in New York City, when she accompanied boyfriend A$AP Rocky for a night out in celebration of his 36th birthday.
The star opted for a slinky black halterneck gown with a bodycon silhouette and ruching across the waist. She upped the ante with the rest of her accessories, adding a brown cropped fur jacket, sparkly heeled sandals, red-tinted sunglasses, and layers of necklaces from Marie Lichtenberg and For Future Reference Vintage.
As for the birthday boy, Rocky looked undeniably cool in a modern take on the suit — mixing and matching patterns via a tartan coat, a striped collared shirt, and a speckled grey blazer and pants.
Earlier this year, Rihanna praised Rocky for his commitment to fashion during a conversation with Interview. “Isn’t he the best? I be feeling bummy as shit next to this man,” she said. “I feel like, goddamn, I look like his assistant. I’m getting on a plane. We should be in sweats. He wants to be in a full Bottega suit. I’m like, ‘Why you got to do that to me?’ ”
It seems that the pair's children, RZA and Riot, are taking after their parents’s sense of style, too. “It’s more like I spend my time getting the kids dressed to death, and then I’m like, ‘What’s the most comfortable outfit to wear around them? What’s not going to feel uncomfortable on their face or on their body or make me feel like I can’t hold them properly?’” Rihanna said. “Moms are lazy dressers in real life.”
