Renée Zellweger Rocks Sexy Lace Gown and Glowy Glam for Reunion with Hugh Grant at “Bridget Jones 4” Premiere

Millennials everywhere are rejoicing over this nostalgic occasion

Renée Zellweger is back on the red carpet with her longtime costar Hugh Grant!

More than two decades after 2001 release of Bridget Jones's Diary, Zellweger, 55, and Grant, 64, came together to promote Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy at the Jan. 27 premiere in Paris.

Grant (Daniel Cleaver) and Zellweger (Bridget Jones) beamed in coordinating looks while posing on the carpet.

She opted for a sexy Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello one-shoulder lace dress with a scalloped neckline and thigh-high slit, teamed with radiant peachy glam. A daring black dress is a signature for Zellweger, who wore a sheer black Alaïa bodycon number to the first film’s UK premiere.

"Bridget goes back to work and even tries out the dating apps, where she’s soon pursued by a dreamy and enthusiastic younger man," a synopsis reads. "Now juggling work, home and romance, Bridget grapples with the judgment of the perfect mums at school, worries about Billy as he struggles with the absence of his father, and engages in a series of awkward interactions with her son’s rational-to-a-fault science teacher."

Among the other familiar faces starring in the movie are Emma Thompson (Dr. Rawlings), James Callis, Sarah Solemani, Sally Phillips and Shirley Henderson reprising their roles as Bridget’s friends and Gemma Jones and Harry Potter's Jim Broadbent returning as Bridget’s mother and father.

In a Jan. 15 interview with British Vogue, Zellweger opened up about what it’s been like to slip back into her role as the hilarious and drama-prone protagonist over the years. “It's such an unusual experience to be able to revisit a character in different stages of her life,” she said in part, noting that it's been "pretty special.”

Elsewhere in the story, she addressed her reasons for taking a six-year hiatus from acting between 2010 and 2016.

“I needed to. I was sick of the sound of my own voice," the Chicago star said. "When I was working, I was like, 'Oh, my gosh, listen to you. Are you sad again, Renée? Oh, is this your mad voice?' It was a regurgitation of the same emotional experiences," she explained.

Although she wasn’t on set, she kept busy with multiple projects, from writing music and studying international law to building a house, founding a production company and spending time with family and her dogs. "I got healthy," she said.
