Renée Zellweger is back! The 55-year-old actress has returned to acting and to one of her most famous roles—Bridget Jones.
It has been almost 10 years since Renée stepped into Bridget's shoes, but now she's back with the fourth movie in the series, Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy. The new iteration, based on Helen Fielding's novel of the same name, finds the titular character as a widowed mother of two who is making a return to the dating scene. Renée is joined once again by Hugh Grant, Emma Thompson, and Colin Firth.
To celebrate the movie's February 13 debut, Renée stepped out for the Paris premiere and walked the red carpet in a black lace one-shoulder gown by Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello and Jimmy Choo 'Anouk' pumps. She kept her makeup and jewelry minimal, except for a statement turquoise ring.
Renée posed alongside Hugh Grant, who recently was nominated for a Golden Globe for his role in Heretic. He returns to portray Daniel Cleaver in Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy after his absence from the third film in the franchise, Bridget Jones's Baby.
She also shared the red carpet with Helen Fielding, author of all four Bridget Jones novels. Renée said of the role in an interview with British Vogue, "I love her. And her story is not finished. As long as Helen [Fielding] puts pen to paper, she’s alive."
Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy streams on Peacock on February 13.
