Renée Zellweger Puts a Contemporary Spin on the Y2K-inspired Capri Trend in Hermès for the ‘Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy’ London Photo Call
Renée Zellweger continued her “Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy” style streak with a fresh look for the film’s photo call on Thursday in London. The two-time Oscar-winning actress was joined by costars Chiwetel Ejiofor and Leo Woodall for the occasion.
For the London photo call, Zellweger wore Hermès. She opted to put her own spin on the cropped pants and Y2K-inspired capri trend with her own touch of edgy sensibility. The actress styled a pair of cropped, tapered black leather pants with a belted waistline.

The actress also took a monochrome approach to her daytime look, wearing a black turtleneck and black blazer with rolled cuffs and deep pockets. She completed the look with a pair of Christian Louboutin’s black pointed-toe heels and wore a pair of black Persol sunglasses as her main accessory.
Zellweger’s hair was pulled back into a low ponytail with a few wisps of hair to frame her face. Her makeup included a clean, serene look with bold brows and a soft pink lip. The actress works with stylist Petra Flannery, who’s styled such stars as Reese Witherspoon and “Emilia Pérez” Oscar-nominee Zoe Saldaña. During the photo call, Zellweger posed for photos with Chiwetel Ejiofor, who took a monochrome approach to his attire, and Leo Woodall, who wore Burberry.
Zellweger’s “Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy” promotional tour thus far featured two standout looks from the film’s premieres in Paris and London. On Monday, the “Judy” Oscar winner wore an allover black lace dress with asymmetric design and floral motifs to the premiere in Paris.
On Wednesday, the actress favored a strapless pink dress with a flowing train for the “Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy” premiere in London. The haute dress was a vintage Pierre Balmain design.
“Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy” follows the titular character (Zellweger) navigating life as a widow and single mom. Once she gets on dating apps, Bridget finds herself the subject of romantic attention from one young man and potentially her son’s teacher. The film hits theaters Feb. 13.
