‘Reginald The Vampire’ Canceled After 2 Seasons At Syfy

There will be no third season for Reginald The Vampire. Syfy has canceled the horror comedy series after two seasons, Deadline has confirmed.

Based on the book series by Johnny B. Truant, Reginald the Vampire followed Reginald Andres (Jacob Batalon), who, in a world populated by beautiful, fit and vain vampires, tumbles headlong into it as an unlikely hero. He will have to navigate every kind of obstacle – the girl he loves but can’t be with, a bully manager at work and the vampire chieftain who wants him dead. Fortunately, Reginald discovers he has a few unrecognized powers of his own.

In addition to Batalon, cast included Savannah Basley, Em Haine, Mandela Van Peebles, Jeremiah Chechik and Harley Peyton.

The cancellation follows the move of Syfy’s Resident Alien to USA. The fate of both Reginald the Vampire and Chucky, which is shared by Syfy and USA, had been pending, and Chucky is still TBD. Syfy has Canadian co-pro SurrealEstate, which has been renewed for a third season, and new horror drama Revival, on its upcoming slate.

Reginald the Vampire was produced by Great Pacific Media, Modern Story Company, December Films and Cineflix Studios and executive produced by Harley Peyton, Jeremiah Chechik, Todd Berger, Lindsay Macadam, Brett Burlock and Peter Emerson. Batalon served as a co-executive producer.

The series aired its Season 2 and now series finale on July 10.
