The Block’s Maddy and Charlotte finally address major rumour during filming

As if this year’s season of The Block hasn’t been dramatic enough with one team quitting, multiple tradies being fired and a handful of ‘cheating scandals’, rumours have been swirling that there was also a questionable encounter between two contestants during filming. An insider told Woman’s Day last month that Kylie was left “embarrassed” and “shocked” by an incident that occurred between Brad and one of their female co-stars towards the end of the season.

The source claimed there was “some drinking involved” and that Kylie has since told friends that she refuses to mention the co-star’s name ever again. Following this, So Dramatic! reported that the incident involved Kylie walking in on an encounter between Brad and Mimi that, whilst not physical, she felt was not appropriate.

While both parties have remained tightlipped about the alleged incident, their co-stars Maddy and Charlotte have now hinted that there could be at least some truth to the speculation.

What happened between Brad and Mimi?

During a radio interview on HIT WA’s Allan & Carly on Thursday, the sisters were asked if they had heard the rumours about Brad and Mimi or witnessed anything during filming that suggested they were true.

“Look, I think all will get revealed in the next couple of weeks. I think stay tuned for that,” Charlotte replied, leaving host Carly Portch shocked that she didn’t deny the claims.

“Look, we don't want to speak on it specifically because it's people's real lives at stake and we weren't obviously there, so we don't know full details,” Maddy added. “But I think, yeah, look, things hap - something happened. But we're probably not the right people to speak on it.”

Charlotte then said that she and Maddy “were in bed too early for this.”

“We try to stay out of that stuff on The Block,” Maddy continued. “Obviously people weren’t overly friendly to us so we didn’t know what was happening outside our little world. So when we hear things or we see things we’re like, ‘Oh my goodness!’.”

Are Kylie and Brad still together?

Although some publications have suggested that Kylie and Brad were taking some time apart after their stint on the reality series, an insider told Yahoo Lifestyle that Kylie has heavily relied on Brad’s support in recent weeks as she deals with the fallout from her ‘edit’.

“At first Kylie was laughing at the silliness of some of her antics on the show but now she has been questioning everything about herself and, surprisingly, Brad of all people has been the one to comfort her,” they shared.

“The relationship was in tatters when they left The Block but this whole experience of watching it back and only having each other as a reference point has actually been quite healing. No one really knows what happened on Phillip Island unless you were there and while many friends thought reliving some of the painful parts of their struggles would split them further apart, it has done the opposite.”
