Yahoo Lifestyle Reese Witherspoon Says a Famous Actress No Longer Speaks to Her, and the Internet (Maybe) Figured Out Who
Truly can't imagining having drama with Reese Witherspoon, but apparently she and an unnamed A-list actress are no longer on speaking terms. Why, you ask? Because Reese accidentally roasted her during an awards ceremony where the vibes were...very much not a roast.
“It literally haunts me,” Reese told People, "So this friend of mine, who I didn't really know that well but she was a very serious, proper actress, she asked me to give her an award. But I had never been to this award ceremony, so I thought it was like a roast. So I got up and I roasted her.”
Reese said the event was “British,” “elegant” and “classy,” she her jokes about the unnamed friend getting laser hair removal didn't exactly fly.
"I’m still embarrassed about it. We're not friends anymore," she said. "I'm not even kidding — we're not friends anymore. I think she doesn't like me anymore. I thought it was so funny and it was just, I had the wrong audience. It was pretty bad. Yeah. Not even kidding, she doesn't talk to me anymore. Oh well."
Obviously, the world wants / needs to know who this person is, and according to Just Jared, Kate Winslet fits the bill. The evidence: A speech they unearthed of Reese giving Kate an award at the BAFTA/LA Cunard Britannia Awards in November 2007. Turns a fan site posted portions of the speech, and mentioned the laser hair removal joke. So...putting two and two together...seems likely?
