Yahoo Lifestyle Ree Drummond Feels ‘Lucky’ in Rare Photo Showing 4 Generations of Her Family
The Pioneer Woman star Ree Drummond is celebrating a big milestone in her family’s life, sharing the “lucky” moment with her fans.
The Food Network personality took to her personal blog to break down the moment in which she, her mother, her daughter, and her granddaughter spent time together.
“One thing this week has shown me is just how lucky I am to have daughters, a granddaughter, AND a mother to share it all with. Four generations is something to give thanks for, and I do every morning (with a big cup of cold brew! 😊),” Drummond wrote on Feb. 15.
The self-proclaimed “grandparent influencer” continued, sharing several photos of herself, her oldest daughter Alex Drummond Scott, her first grandchild who was born in December, Sofia, and her mother, Gee.
The first picture showed Drummond with her granddaughter, “from the first few days after she was born,” while the second was a throwback photo of Drummond with her eldest daughter when she was a baby. “I can't believe how much she and Baby Sofia look alike,” Drummond wrote.
Drummond then shared several photos of Gee with Sofia, both at Drummond Scott’s home in Dallas, and at Drummond’s Oklahoma ranch. The last picture was the one that Drummond centered her post on, as it showed all four generations of women smiling widely, though her younger daughter Paige, was not present.
Drummond also lamented that her mother-in-law Nan wasn’t with them. “It's not lost on me how lucky I am that my mom is here to celebrate her first great-grandchild. It hurts my heart that Nan isn't here in this photo. She should be! As a mother of only boys, Nan was so close and connected to Alex and Paige, and Sofia's arrival would have made her so happy. She's definitely here in spirit, and again---so grateful for my mom!” she wrote.
