Reason The Voice coach LeAnn Rimes really 'pissed off' Guy Sebastian and Kate Miller-Heidke
EXCLUSIVE: An insider has revealed that the international star made some moves that annoyed her fellow coaches.
The 2024 season of The Voice Australia has been divisive so far, as fans have called out some of the odd decisions made by the coaches and expressed disappointment in the way the battles were so heavily edited. Other fans shared their displeasure early in the season when the new Ultimate Block move was introduced, essentially giving coaches the power to force singers onto their teams.
While viewers have certainly been annoyed at some of the developments in the new season, an insider tells Yahoo Lifestyle that the discontent was not contained to only the audience. Predicting that Team LeAnn (Rimes) will win the competition, the insider reveals that the international singer annoyed her fellow coaches with her rule-breaking moves.
"LeAnn was allowed to do whatever she wanted and some of her changes to the format have really pissed off Kate Miller-Heidke and Guy Sebastian," the insider says.
Coaches were 'wrong' about LeAnn Rimes
"When people look back at this season, it will be obvious LeAnn was playing with a strategy all along. Guy and Kate didn't really see the Coyote Ugly star being any real threat, but boy, were they wrong."

The insider tells Yahoo Lifestyle that while the local coaches felt that Rimes was the 'demure' and 'quiet' one compared to the others' personalities, they were misreading her intentions.
"It has only been LeAnn who has been willing to pull moves that step outside the rule book," they said.
"When you look at how hard she went for Ruben (De Melo) - that right there was a boss move and every coach knew Ruben was the best voice they had heard up until that point," the source says, referring to the fact LeAnn used her Ultimate Block in the very first episode to ensure De Melo was on her team.
"You let some things go, but you go hard when it is important," another source says. "And this week, LeAnn doubled down on those sort of 'power moves' and made some decisions that will lose friendships but get her closer to the win."
LeAnn continues to break the rules
Having previously asked singers Tori Darke and Brad Butcher to continue in the competition as a duo after the battle rounds, the Grammy-award-winning singer broke the rules yet again on Sunday night's episode, refusing to choose between Darke and Brad and Letitia Butler in the Knockouts. Instead, Rimes requested to take all three singers through to the Showdown - much to the shock of her fellow coaches.
"Watch Guy Sebastian's face and listen to the way Kate Miller Heike's tone changes with Rimes," the source points out, noting that the move visibly ruffled the two Aussie coaches.

"By the time this series hits the finale, the imported US coach will have pulled off some pivotal moves," they continue. "That gives her a clear advantage, and audiences will see when the public vote happens, LeAnn is in prime position to take the competition out."
"Obviously the public decides and we have seen some shocks but I'd be confident LeAnn Rimes will leave Australia with The Voice Australia crown."
