'Real Housewives' Star Issues Correction After Leading Viewers to Believe Fan-Favorite Cast Member Was Dead
After Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador unintentionally alarmed fans with a recent post about her dog, the celeb returned to social media to reassure her followers about the pup's well-being.
On Wednesday, August 28, Beador shared a cute pic of her golden retriever, Archie, to her Instagram Stories.
“Archie is in heaven with lots of friends!” she captioned the image.
Apparently, Beador simply meant that her canine companion was happy—but many fans misunderstood and sent the celeb concerned messages, according to Page Six.
Later that day, the 60-year-old posted another photo of her dog, this time playing in the ocean, with an explanation about her previous Story.
“I said he was ‘in heaven’ because there were so many little dogs were around him!" she wrote. "Little dogs are his favorite!!! Archie is great!!!”
Archie was first introduced to RHOC audiences when Beador adopted him in 2016. The dog has been by her side through many experiences in the years since, even an unfortunate run-in with the law.
In 2023, Archie was in the backseat of the Bravo personality's car when she was arrested for DUI and hit-and-run after allegedly clipping a house in Newport Beach, California, and leaving the scene. Thankfully, the dog wasn't hurt in the accident, but Beador was sentenced to three years of probation and 40 hours of community service. She was also required to pay for the damage she did to the home with her car and complete a nine-month alcohol program.
